About the Commission
The Green Space Commission was created in December 2000 by the Clinton County Board of Commissioners to serve as the PA 261 Parks and Recreation Commission for Clinton County.
The Green Space Commission facilitated the development of the Park, Recreation and Open Space Plan and currently implements the 9 goals listed in the action program. On December 19, 2014 the Board of Commissioners adopted an updated Final Plan for 2015-2019 (PDF).
The Commission was renamed to Parks and Green Space Commission in 2010 to more accurately reflect of the scope of its activities. The first County Park to be established is Motz County Park, which the County celebrated the grand opening on June 12, 2010.
