Why Recycle

What Recycling Is
Recycling is a series of activities by which materials that are no longer useful to the generator are collected, sorted, processed, converted into raw materials and used in the production of new products. Recycling is important because it has the potential to greatly reduce the amount of material disposed into landfills, while at the same time conserve resources used in manufacturing processes.

Why Recycle
When residents, businesses and industries take the time to recycle, a number of benefits are realized. Recycling creates jobs, generates revenues and encourages capital investments - all of which helps to stimulate economy activity. Recycling decreases pollution, saves energy, conserves natural resources and reduces greenhouse gas emissions!
