Clean Community Events

Clean Community Events have been historically held twice each year, in the spring and in early fall. Our fall event has been renamed "Free for Fall" and will focus on only accepting household hazardous waste, electronics, reusable items and books.

The 2017 Clean Community Event is tentatively set for Saturday, April 22, and our Free for Fall event is tentatively set for Saturday, September 30 (please note, September 30th is a scaled down version of the spring Clean Community Event). The location for the April 22nd Clean Community Event will be released once an appointment is scheduled. You can register online to volunteer.

Clean Community Events assist residents to recycle or properly dispose of just about any household generated waste item. Items accepted (PDF) include household hazardous waste, farm and landscaping chemicals, motor oil and antifreeze, electronic waste, bulky waste or junk items, scrap metal, appliances, tires, yard waste and clothing, textiles, books and reusable household items for donation.

Our Free for Fall events focus on accepting household hazardous waste, farm and landscaping chemicals, motor oil and antifreeze, electronics, reusable items and books. No appointments will be required for the Free for Fall event and this event will be held at the Granger Facility located on Wood Road.

Fees

There are fees for some items which are listed on our Fee Schedule (PDF), but most materials are collected for free. The events are also open to small businesses, however additional fees do apply for hazardous and electronic waste items. Disposal fees are waived for volunteers!
