Passport Cards

What is a Passport Card?
These cards will carry the rights and privileges of the U.S. passport book and will be adjudicated to the exact same standards.

Passport cards can be used for travel to and from Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean and Bermuda by land or sea. The passport card cannot be used for international travel by air.

Expiration Dates
Cards will be valid for 10 years for adults and 5 years for children 15 years of age or younger.

New Applications
Applicant 16 Years of Age or Older
  • $30 check or money order payable to "U.S. Department of State."
  • $25 cash, check or money order payable to "Clinton County Register of Deeds."
Applicants 15 years of Age or Younger
  • $15 check or money order payable to "U.S. Department of State."
  • $25 cash, check or money order payable to "Clinton County Register of Deeds."
Renewal
To renew your passport card, please write a $30 check or money order made payable to "U.S. Department of State."
