In order for the Board of Commissioners to adopt annual equalized
property values for Clinton County, the Equalization Department
reviews the work of the local township and city assessors to insure
there is equity in assessing county-wide. The Equalization Department
provides numerous reports to township, city, local school district,
intermediate school district, community college, county, neighboring
county, and State of Michigan officials about property values and
property taxes.
The Equalization Department
strives to have all possible information on hand concerning property
value and property taxes in Clinton County. This information is
used to inform the public about individual, or groups of, properties
within the County.
