- Regular copies are $1.00 per page for the first 10 pages and
$0.50 for each additional page.
- Certified copies are $1.00 per page plus $10.00 to certify.
CIRCUIT COURT
RECORD SEARCHES (Criminal, Civil, Divorce/Family):
- $10.00 per name for 10 year search
(Please be advised that this applies to Circuit Court
records ONLY. Please contact District Court for their policy.)
- A search of Circuit Court records may be obtained by sending
a written request along with SASE and check or money order, payable
to Clinton County Clerk or ordered online through PaymentChek.
The search will be conducted within 24 hours.
- Searches may also be conducted in the office during normal
office hours, at no charge.
To obtain
copies of court records, docket entries, or pay Circuit Court ordered
fees by credit card, please access PaymentChek.
(Customers will
be charged $6.00 or 5% service fee, whichever is greater.)
GENERAL
INFORMATION REGARDING
CIRCUIT
COURT DOCUMENTS
To
begin a Circuit Court case, you must file a Summons and Complaint
along with the appropriate fees. Depending on the type of case that
is filed, other documents may also be required. In addition, all
court documents must have a case caption according to the State
Court Administrator's Office Case File Management Standards.
DIVORCE
PACKETS
The
County Clerk's Office provides divorce packets to be purchased for
$40.00 (non-refundable fee). If
you are filing a matter In Pro Per (without the assistance of an
attorney), please be advised that the County Clerk's Office cannot
provide legal advice nor give direction on how and exactly
what papers will need to be filed. We suggest that you seek the
advice of an attorney or research libraries or the internet for
information and/or forms.
