Veterans Affairs provides Ingham and Clinton veterans accurate, efficient and timely services to ensure maximum delivery of benefits to veterans and their families.

Our accredited counselors assist veterans and their families with every veteran benefit to include emergency financial assistance, burial, compensation, pension, education, medical, home loan, and life insurance.  Our transportation program provides local veterans access to complete medical services at the VA Health Care System in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Click on the link below for information on a brand new program that the State of Michigan is providing to veterans and their surviving spouses…Grant assistance will be considered for direct payment to mortgage company to cure default or reinstate mortgage from foreclosure; pay delinquent property taxes if home is in foreclosure; pay grant to assist with loan modification or to secure refinance of improved loan; if the home is already lost, to determine compensation to enhance overall financial situation; provide essential home repairs to resolve safety or health related issues or retain property insurance.  Please direct your phone calls for questions to (517) 284-5296.  Their website is http://www.michigan.gov/veterans  Click on the Michigan Veterans Homeowners Assistance Program on the left side of the web page.  Note that there is $5 million dollars available so I would encourage anyone applying to submit their applications as possible.
